Delivering stadium-wide connectivity at Ole Miss
Collegiate athletic programs face mounting pressure from fans and vendors to provide reliable wireless services in high-density settings as fan expectations for digital connectivity rise. At the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), this led to a comprehensive reassessment and redevelopment of the WiFi infrastructure, which, after a decade of service, was no longer sufficient for current demands.
Ole Miss partnered with C Spire to roll out a sophisticated WiFi solution spanning three major athletic venues — Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Swayze Field, and the Sandy and John Black Pavilion. By leveraging an end-to-end Cisco Meraki suite and innovative physical design methods, the project not only elevates fan engagement but also meets large-scale operational and media demands.
